I worked on the right rudder skin. The flange on the right skin is trimmed back 3/32" per the plans. This is done along the long edge (horizontal edge in the picture).
I was careful not to trim more than 3/32" so that I maintained the minimum edge distance for the holes.
The flange on the left rudder skin will overlap the flange on the right skin when the skins are riveted to the rudder assembly.
I deburred the rudder edges using my air grinder and a scotch brite wheel.
