I finally was able to countersink the #30 holes in the lower portion of the rear spar doubler. I had to order a replacement #30 cutter from Avery Tools. The pilot tip for the #30 cutter that I had was too big for a #30 hole. It came in the countersink cutter kit that I purchased awhile back along with several other cutter sizes and up until now I never used it. The pilot tip for the replacement cutter was the right size.
The next step for the rear spar doubler is to clean, etch, and prime it.
