The plans call for the forward end of the VS-705 Nose RIb and VS-706 Tip Rib to be radiused. I spent some time doing that, This is done to ease the fit when the vertical stabilizer skin is installed.
I fluted each of the rib flanges between the holes to straighten the web of the ribs. This was done using special fluting pliers. During the manufacturing process, the ribs can end up slightly bowed. Fluting them takes the bow out.
I clecoed the ribs to the front and rear spars. The next steps are to final drill all the holes and then test fit the vertical stabilizer skin to the structure, which I plan to do tomorrow.
