Brief Description:  Fuel overflow, alternator, exhaust

Installed Plane Power alternator. Attached bracket to engine first and safety wired the bolts as well as bending over tabs to keep bolts from turning. Placed alternator on brackett and attached arm from brackett to started and safety wired. Installed adjustment bracket and bolt but not final tightened since propellor is not on and belt can't be tightened yet. Trial fit fuel line from fuel pump to carburetor. Once orientation of KB-090T was set I tightened the compression nut fully. Installed the fuel line. Installed fuel overflow fitting into pump and attached the plastic tubing and aluminum tubing and safety wired on. Did not bend aluminum tubing and final attach to mount because a hole is required to be drilled in the firewall bottom flange and the hinge, which is not installed yet. Realized that I needed to install the FT-60 fuel flow transducer and that it must be after the fuel pump so disassembled the fuel line to the carburetor. Spent considerable time trying to decide the best placement of the transducer and took many measurements. I fabricated a small brackett to fit the transducer from aluminum angle and trial fit it to the transducer and to a WD clamp on a motor mount tube. Then realized that the exhaust may interfere so began installation of it. Removed covers from exhaust ports and drained preservation oil. Attached exhaust system temporarily with only the left side muffler and tail pipe. Previous plan for mounting of the FT-60 is not going to work. Spent a lot more time trying to figure out how it's going to work and finally gave up for the day and decided to query some folks on Van's Airforce for advice. Some progress today but a little frustrating.
