Removed FAB from carburetor. The filter was curing for the last two weeks after putting RTV on the filter and installing. Filter came off easily, mold release worked well. Riveted together the fiberglass airbox and top plate.
Began cutting opening in foam block for the air scoop. Took my time and finally got it where I wanted it. Installed the cowl and checked fit. Gap between foam block and airbox opening is too wide. Shortest distance was 7/16" and largest gap 5/8". Should be no more than 1/4" according to plans. So I decided to add another piece of foam block to bridge the gap. Cut a piece of foam block to fit although it is a little long so will deal with that later. Glued in the spacer foam with epoxy resin and set aside to dry.
