Brief Description:  Lower cowl air inlet

Worked a little bit to determine the placement of the vent for the carb heat to the airbox. I'm thinking I cut the air box a little too short because I will have to put the back flange of the vent mounting on the VA-130C mount plate and use the bolt of the mounting plate to go through the vent mount flange. Since that is the case I reinforced the flange with another piece of aluminum plate and flush riveted that on and put it aside since I'm still waiting for the RTV to dry on the filter.

Started working on the air scoop to air box. I used a grinder with one inch scotchbrite wheel on it to grind the air scoop opening to where I wanted it. Used a hacksaw blade to form the foam block that goes in behind the air scoop opening and glued it in using blue RTV to hold it. Hope that works and I don't regret it. Seems like it should be ok.
