Worked on canopy latch first. Pressed on the brass bushing to the handle. Located height of latch arm so it can contact the pin at the right spot. Used the dremel to cut off the excess at the bottom of the tubing shaft. Determined proper height of outside latch handle and cut handle shaft to fit. Drilled holes in latch and tubing as directed on the plans. Tapped the handle for the screw and assembled onto canopy. Cut too much off of C-654-1 latch so will have to reorder another one. Located postion of C-677 rear pin mounts and drilled holes as required. Installed onto fuselage. Determined positions of anchor blocks and drilled all holes and countersunk as needed. Got everything pretty close. Need to clearance the blocks so the pins slide in a little better, it's pretty tight right now but they do go in all the way.
