Brief Description:  Tested interior paint options (Part 2)

A) Rust-oleum Painter's Touch SATIN granite. Single and Double Coat
B) Rust-oleum Painter's Touch GLOSS winter grey. Single and Double Coat
C) Rust-oleum Metallic Finish grey
D) Rust-oleum Gloss Protective Enamel (grey)

We didn't like the appearance of either C) & D) - also seemed too glossy for our liking. Both the single and double coats of B) dried with pebbled surface. Not a bad look, but I wonder if that would be consistant across all the different interior surfaces I will need to paint. Lighter grey than the others which is a look I kind of like. However, we seemed to like A) the most. A little darker than I had expected, but even single coat covered really well. Drys fast and has a rich look.

All the samples failed my version of the scratch test - which might have been more aggressive than anticipated. And maybe more drying time would have helped - I only waited one day. Tony Tessitore commented that he felt A) was quite durable based on his two years of experience.

So, we plan on using Rust-oleum Painter's Touch SATIN granite (not sure if I need double coat but will decide that case by case) At only $3.87/can at Home Depot, its a bargain.
