Brief Description: Fuselage Final Fitting Before Assembly
Made up six short 1/8 inch wood dowels to pin the seat back into position. I removed the seat back and drilled three holes in each fuselage side from the inside out, 3/8" behind the locating line of the seatback. I then put the seatback back into postion and carefully aligned the fuselage with the level lines. I then drilled from the fuselage outside to in to match drill the seatback edge. I put a wood dowel in each hole as I drilled. I then made some final adjustments to the rear seat back to flush it up with the bottom edge of the fuselage. Checked all the squareness again. It is now ready to come apart and be prepped for final assembly! (actually glueing it together)
Picture 3 shows how much of the lower longeron will need to be sanded down to match the fusleage lower radius.
