Unclamped the longeron from the bonding operation yesterday. Cleaned up glue squeeze out, etc, with a permagrit block. Used my router to put a 3/16" raduis on the lower edge of the longeron to facilitate layups. Cut cloth for reinforcements, 3 plys uni, and 1 ply BID. I cut three pieces of BID and used two. Made a fillet between the inside skin and the longeron with flox. The radius was a strong 1/4". Made layups per plans. Image two shows tick marks for the ply drop offs. They are 1/2" spaced. I used the outer and the next two ticks for the UNI. The shortest of the UNIs ended up being 57" long, 1 inch past the doubler joint. Installed peel ply over the laminates to improve appearance.
