Brief Description: Prep for Fuselage Side Inside Layups
Cleaned up the shop a bit then changed out my hardener in my epoxy pump to he 287 slow hardener. I then made up a two pump test batch and layed up a small two ply layup with some scraps. My plan was to test the gel time with the slow hardener and about 90 deg temps. It was successful with gel out around 2.5 to 3hrs. Plenty of time! This is a nice change from the vinylester resins I used on my Glasair, were 45 minutes to gel was hard to achieve!
