Brief Description: Cutting Fuselage Longerons and other wood pieces
I ordered some beautiful .75 thick spar blanks (spruce) from Aircraft Spruce (108 inches long). I used the table saw to cut the longerons and the top tapered longeron doublers. I used the pattern sawing technique on the table saw to cut the tapers, which works really well! I then used the table saw to create the lower longeron triangle stock. This one took awhile and I was not happy with the first two. Attempts three and four came out nice, but I wasted some material on the first two! I then cut the rest of the wood for the area just forward of the firewall where the gear attachments bolt on and frame the center spar edge bottom opening.
