Prep windows by - applying additional layer of masking tape over paper coating - sanding edge of lip of window - applying protective layer of electrical tape around edge - making a duct tape handle on outside of window to allow window to be held in place on outside while bracing it with blocks inside
evaluate fit against opening. ID areas fo further removal on airplane via grinder, using vacuum inside. repeated grinding, sanding until uniform fit & all paint on bonding surface removed. then, ensure additional .075" gap around using tongue depressor. additional grinding & sanding, mark with magic marker inside.
hot glue 1/8" wood strips around interior of window to hold in place.
mix adhesive 3 minutes, same as windshield after QC check (distilled water). applyl adhesive, spread evenly around window w/ peak in middle.
prep window opening with this layer of adhesive. press into place as indicated by wooden slats. then secure with spreader bars (pre-positioned). clear up inside & outside of window to create nice bead.
