I hired someone with a low- bed gooseneck trailer to haul my fuselage to my hangar location. After first inspecting the fuselage a few days before the move, the driver asked me to secure some of the wires extending out the side that would eventually be attached to the wing lights and controls. I remove the brake lines and covered some of the landing gear surfaces with tape to prevent damage from the holddown straps that were used to secure the plane to the trailer. It was a 17 mile trip, and it went smoothly with no isssues.
