Manual Reference:  Section 21
Brief Description:  The case of the missing rivets

In the final step of section 21, it says to put the cushion plastic adhesive-backed strip on. But, wait! There are open rivets there. I don't recall seeing instructions to put the countersunk rivets in place but there they were.

I went back over the instructions and, sure enough, on page four or five it showed the rivets in place. This would explain my confusion when the flange of the baggage floor seemed to interfere with the lowest rivet.

The instructions didn't say to rivet the center section first (as near as I can remember), but that would have made the process easier when riveted the floor flange (this is the one where you use two flat sets, even though they're 470 rivets with a round shop head.

My intention is to buck and shoot these with a gun, because it's difficult to get the squeezer set on these rivets due to the orientation of the floor that interferes with the squeezer, making it difficult to get the flush set on...well... flush to the riivet.

In the meantime, I set all the 4-8 rivets (I think they were 4-8, might've been 9, I forget) along the top row without any problem except for the shooting pain up my arm when I squeeze.
