Brief Description:  G3X 100-amp Shunt

I attempt to get something accomplished on the project daily. After yesterday's long hours working on the assembly & the muscle strain that went along with that, I thought I'd take the day off. I did not. The drive to go out to the garage & do something kicked in so I move forward to mount the G3X 100-amp shunt to the firewall. A straightforward task but, a bit more time consuming than I thought it would be.

Later, I returned to the project to route the transponder's coaxial cable to the instrument panel. That task was going well until I forgot to modify the snap bushings that go through the wing spar. Because the flange there is thicker than .032", the bushing needs to be modified by removing one of the two engagement clips. Otherwise, the bushing will not lock in place & thereby, restrict the size of the opening. This restriction was just enough to prevent the pass-through of the coaxial male connector. These bushings, being at the front & aft of the spar, are a bit of a pain to install & even more difficult to remove. But, in the end – all is well.
