Vans Aircraft sells the Tosten pre-wired control grips on their web store. Don't buy these there. Buy them directing from Tosten Manufacturing. Why? Because Vans does not have the vendor (Toston) wire the small button switch below the red push-to-talk switch for fear someone may put the auto pilot or CWS wiring there & inadvertently engage it during flair.
If you are planning to use that switch, as I am, you will end up shipping the sticks back to Tosten for re-work. Save yourself the headache, money & time by shopping directly online with Tosten Manufacturing at: https://tostenmanufacturing.com.
I spent way too many hours troubleshooting the functionality of Vans control sticks. It wasn't until a continuity check & then an email to Tosten that verified my suspicions. Tosten, by default, wires this switch at their factory. Use it as you wish - but at least it's wired for you. After all, isn't that what you expected when you bought it?
The left control stick's input feed is now wired properly & is undergoing final testing. The right follows.
