Brief Description:  Connected VOR Antenna...

Per Stein @ SteinAIr, Inc. I went ahead & prepped then connected the VOR antenna to the GTN750Xi coaxial cable. I had forgotten about this until Stein reminded me to triple check that "all antennas" are connected prior to powering up the instrument panel avionics.

Hi Barry,
Not to worry – you can't do much harm as long as you follow these simple guidelines:
1) Make sure ALL of the radios (transponder, gps, comm, etc..) have an antenna plugged into them.
2) Ensure 100% that you have a good power source – that is 12V or higher.
3) Ensure 100% that you have power identified and ground identified. We have had several people accidentally hook their battery up backwards, which is bad!

Having too low of a voltage will cause many weird issues to show (but not cause real harm). Not having antennas plugged in could cause things to blow up, so that is bad.

Other than that, you should be good to go. Don't worry about error messages initially. Until you have the airplane fully assembled and 100% of the components plugged in (including servos, trim motors, remote compass, etc.) you will see all sorts of weird error messages.

Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Stein
