Brief Description: It's Not Over - Until It's Over...
From 11/14 – 11/24: Returned from a short vacation & got back to routing wires throughout the aircraft. I needed to fabricate several snap bushing clips & then rivet them in place to get the pitot static, AOA lines & coaxial cable out to the wings. I’m also working on mounting the FlyLeds control board & get that system wired in, but I’ve yet to decide where to mount it. The company recommends somewhere with easy access & based on the amount of wiring provided by SteinAir, it’s probably going under the right seat area.
I’ve been puzzled as how to connect the main & backup alternators, along with their associated fuses & shunt, to the main wiring harness. I know this must be a straightforward process; but I just can’t seem to work through it. I’ve reached out to Vans & SteinAir; both offered little guidance. I must assume this is something they do not wish to get involved with; probably due to liability. Eventually, it’ll come together.
Offering a break from what seems a never-ending panel installation; today I began assembling the main gear fairings.
