Brief Description: Elevator Alignment - See Notes to Right
Last several days & into the next few, I have been puzzled regarding Vans unobstructed swing of the elevators.
Van states 30 degrees up & 25 down with no binding to the horizontal flanges. Until today I was measuring these angles with a smart level lying onto of the elevator and not getting the upswing to exceed 26 degrees.
I posted a query on Vans Builders Facebook group asking about this matter. One response corrected my measurement error and stated the measure is from the chord line, not from lying the level on top of the elevator. Yes.., now the unobstructed swing meets Vans criteria.
