Brief Description: Canopy Unlock Warning & Defrost Fans...
Spent the last few days researching, fitting, changing & finally finishing the wiring of protection switches for the panel.
The aircraft's panel has a couple annunciator lights that will illuminate to immediately warn the pilot of an over-site or error. Today, I wired one of those protection lights - the "Unlocked Canopy". This was a straightforward task with just two exceptions: first, the micro switch attachment points, per the plans, were incorrect & secondly, the initial ground to aircraft connection point was unreliable so, I extended the ground to the main grounding bus located under & behind the panel.
Then there are those two CPU cooling fans that Vans calls defrost fans. The tiny wiring proved to be a pain to work with, but in the end, I got my way. Both fans now work as advertised. The wiring will be cozied-up after I finish installing the glareshield light strip.
