Left & right control sticks are finally complete. They have been tested & all functions perform as they should. It was interesting that the wiring on each stick varied slightly. In part, because of the added wire grip switch Vans does not supply (see: "WORD OF CAUTION", 2/10/24 post), that the copilot's stick having a discrete ground & also that Van's harness has a dedicated wire # R2292 assigned to pin 7 for the right control stick only. In the end it all worked out & I learned several new tricks.
There are just a few minor matters to clean up. For now, the control sticks have been re-shelved & I'm moving on to the next task. After the DAR inspection I will install the interior & the control sticks can then be installed permanently.
Unwrapped the bird, pumped up her tires a bit & pulled her out into the sunshine. Wanted to fire-up the panel to see if I could get the GPS to recognize a few satellites. Slowly it did & after several minutes it added more & more. I finally saw enough & stowed N418BV back into the hangar. Slow but steady progress...
