After several iterations, I am getting closer to completing the Dsub prototype standoff bracket. This project has been a pain in the butt, but I have learned a great deal from struggling through it.
I needed to take Jameson for a walk, so I grabbed iteration #17 & stopped by Ben & Geoff's hangars to get their opinion of my work. Both fellow aviators offered some great feedback that I will incorporate into draft #18 & beyond. Thank you!
While trial fitting prototype #17, I found it best to set the Dsub support bracket further aft of center. Doing so would relieve stress to the harness & prevent its contact with the control rod.
So off I went to work on draft #18 & I already discovered an issue. Every day is a learning day...
