Brief Description: Wing's Third Bay Inward Access Panels...
Attempting solo to finish setting the final few rivets on the right wing's bottom outboard skin, I found it a major, if not impossible struggle to reach the third bay inward. Sitting back & thinking of a better way, I took note of Van's square access panel used for the installation of the stall warning assembly. After a few measurements & jotting down some notes - I telephoned Van's builder's support.
I discussed my thinking with Larry at Van's & he found no problem with my planned course of action. So off I went to Van's web store to order a few parts & then headed back to the wings to begin resolving the issue.
I chose to add an additional access panel to each bottom outboard wing skin at the third bay inward from the outer edge. This additional access will then allow me to more easily complete setting the final two dozen rivets to the panels.
Overkill..? Perhaps, but I do what I do & I'm okay with that...
