Brief Description: Successful Leak Check of Left Fuel Tank...
Completed the leak check of the left fuel tank. After a few iterations of sealing off the test hose & balloon hookups; the test was successful, at least we hope so. I have read a few stories where assembler's initial test were positive, but only to not be so after a few hours of flight time. We shall see.
This test was for the tank that suffered damaged several months ago when it slip out of its cradle while moving it to the hangar. The repair was relatively minor, but time consuming. As a novice, I am happy to see that by taking my time to complete the repair all worked out for the best. The minor cosmetic blemish to the wing's outer skin will be an easy fix for any quality paint shop.
Right fuel tank check will be completed in a few days while ProSeal is cures a bit longer.
