Began the installation of the rudder & elevators to the vertical & horizontal stabilizers. The stock fuselage mounted rudder stops will need a bit of modification to limit the rudder's swing. Vans recommends that swing be no closer than 3/4" to the elevators when they are in the neutral position. Therefore, I will need to add 5/32" to the existing stop to meet Van's specification.
As a backup to the stock rudder stops, I am also installing Flyboy Accessories Internal Rudder Stop which I purchased early on in the build. Since it's available, light weight & hidden; why not? Always nice to have a backup.
