Brief Description:  Too Much of a Good Thing...

Too much wiring may be as big of an issue as not enough...

I reached out to SteinAir yesterday to ask if it is normal for their company to build a harness that is 18 to 24 inches longer than it needs to be. Stein asked for a few pics & stated that he & his technical team would investigate the matter. I'm still awaiting their feedback.

The bundle of wiring in question is the WH-00125 Fuselage Harness. It was properly installed within the airframe several months back & at that time I remember thinking something looked a bit strange. The simple solution may be to simply cut off the excess length of wire & move forward. Well - to quote Dirty Harry: "A man has to know his limitations”. Indeed, I do understand my capabilities & there is no way my skills qualify me to retrofitting this electronic harness. BTW, did I mention there are "TWO" harnesses in question, WH-00125L & WH-00125R?

Another option if to roll-up the excess and squeeze it into the tunnel. That may very well be the option I take, but I will first wait to see what the technical team at SteinAir recommend.

Everyday is a learning day. Enjoy!
