Moving along slowly with the nose gear wheel pant project. Need to reach out to Van's builder support tonight for classification to their instructions regarding the depth of the nose cap cutout notch. Plans call for a 1-9/16" set-back from aft edge then a 1-1/2" hole saw cut from there. Not enough depth. Need about another 3/4". I did reached out to fellow local builder Mark A. & he confirmed that his cutout is approximately 3.0" in depth from the cap's aft edge.
