The upper cowl rear attach hinges curve 90 degrees and in order to merge the two hinge sides, the hinge eyes must be filed at an angle. I filed the hinge eyes and will clean up the edges prior to riveting them in place. I continued sanding the rear edge of the upper cowl to get a good fit at the hinge. I secured the cowel with tape and blocks to get the required spacing at the spinner bulkhead. I also made a trial fit of the lower cowl and marked it for the initial cut at the lower aft edge.
