Completed countersinking for all remaining hinges on the cowling and riveted all hinges to the cowlings. On the lower cowl rear hinges added a screw and platenut on the inside hinge for added stiffness to the lower cowl hinges. This completes the cowling hinges. Also trimmed the rear middle portion of the lower cowl for better clearance for the exhausts. Also completed forward baffling components including adding trim pieces to make the baffling fit better to the engine. Temporarily installed baffling so could begin the process of trimming the baffling to fit the upper cowl. To do this it was necessary to temporarily fit the upper inlet ducts. These were fitted then drilled and clecoed in place. Then began the process of trimming the baffles. Only got partway done, still more trimming to do. However, we now have to take a two week break because both of us will be away on trips. We'll update this log when we get back to work. See you then!
