With the cowls fitted we could now continue work on the engine baffling. We had previously completed the two rear baffle sections and installed them on the engine. Now we began work on the forward two baffle sections. We obtained the parts for the new baffle system from Van's and used these to form the two forward baffle sections. These sections require a lot of fitting to the lower cowl to insure there is a proper fit between the baffling inlets and the lower cowling. So far we have the forward right side of the cowling completed except for cutting the proper heights. The forward left side is done except for the supports for the center baffle. Still more to do, but feel we have a good handle on how the 'baffling' baffles go together!
