Had our first EAA Interim Technical Inspection today. Mike Robertson visited our shop and inspected our work to date and filed his report with the EAA Technical Counsel. We reviewed what we had accomplished so far and talked about issues where we had questions. Overall our work met his quality expectations. Mike did find one questionable rivet in the horizontal stabalizer. After review we decided to replace that rivet with a pop rivet. Greatly improved result. After Mike left we completed the elevator balancing weights and reinstalled the elevator tips.
