Brief Description:  Left Wing - No Leaks / Started Right Tank

Left Tank seemed to hold air, so I don't anticipate any leaks. I used the $5 leak test kit from Vans. Sealed off the fuel intake with the provided cap, installed the air fitting in the tank drain flange and then attempted to tape a balloon to the vent line. Then used a bicycle air pump to pump up the tank. Photo #1 shows the tank with the balloon inflated. Unfortunately, I could not get the tape to seal tight enough on the balloon to keep it from slowly leaking. I used soapy water and went all over the tank and the only place it leaked was around the balloon - so it must be good. Then I started on the right tank. Sealed and riveted the stiffeners in place on the bottom of the tank skin as seen in photo #2. Next I sealed and riveted the right tank drain flange in place as seen in photo #3. Right on cue my backordered deluxe fuel caps arrived in the mail so tomorrow I will plan to seal and rivet them in place. Not sure if I will attempt to rivet the ribs by myself or wait til I find some help. My wife advised that she had CPA review classes this weekend so would not be available. We will see.
