Next up is prepping the wing leading edges. Photo #1 shows the left wing leading edge in the cradle that Anton made up with me a few weeks ago. I just glued some scrap carpet in it to keep from scratching the skins. Then the leading edge ribs are identified and cleco'd into place as shown in photo #2. Finally the leading edge ribs and skins are cleco'd to the main spar. Had a tough time for awhile getting about four clecos in - they just wouldn't go and I really couldn't see to figure out why - then I remembered something I read in the plans and sure enought - I had to drill those out since the holes did not match up. The clecos went right in once there was a hole for them. Tomorrow I will pick up here.
