Started the day by finishing the deburring of the rudder stiffeners, then quickly moved over to the DRDT-2 to get them all dimpled. After that it was off to prepare for primer - see the next log entry with pictures of my process. While the stiffeners were hanging to dry from the metal prep, I mixed the primer and got the paint booth ready to go. Once they were dry I primed the first side - then while the paint was drying I prepared the rudder skin by removing the blue film totally from the inside and in strips where the stiffeners will be riveted to the skin. Stiffeners dry - rotated them to the other side and finished priming them. Again while they dried, I put the skin under the DRDT-2 and dimpled it in preparation for back-riveting the stiffeners on - probably tomorrow.
DRDT-2 was a good investment - makes dimpling easy and consistent
