Brief Description:  Getting ready for Trailing Edge Closeout

I can reuse the extrusion I used on the trim tab for the left TE, but I needed a much longer piece for the right. I got an eight foot aluminum extrusion from Home Depot and used the rudder skin as a drill template. The holes on the TE for both the rudder and elevator are exactly 1 in. spacing.

I again only used the skin to start the holes. Using the same technique as before I drilled and deburred the holes in the extrusion. The right elevator TE has two more holes in it than the rudder. I'll probably use this same extrusion when I rebuild the rudder.

I scuffed and throughly cleaned the TE wedge and the skin where the TE sits with IPA. Double sided tape was applied and the TE was adhered to one skin. The TE was clamped an let to sit overnight to prepare for the final TE closeout.
