Brief Description:  Vertical skin installation

Left skin was positioned against vertical stabilizer. Excessive skin was trimmed as required to form best fit. Series of clecos were used to hold sections in alignment (picture 1).

All bonding surfaces were sanded and cleaned w/ acetone. Holes were made for conduit that will house electrical wires needed for rudder trim servo and optional tail light.

DER, Mike DeHate has approved closing out of the tail at this point. He also suggested to drill drain hole in the bottom of the tail section and rudder which we will do at a later time.

All bonding surfaces were wetted with Jeffco resin and then mixture of flox and resin was applied to all bonding surfaces. Skin was positioned in place and clecos were installed to hold it in alignment. Fixture sections were located as shown in picture 3 and tightened using clamping devices as to provide required pressure .
