Mike DeHate (DER) came down to inspect elevators befoe close-out. He suggested to replace two bolts on each elevator to next length since threads were barely coming through nut plates. We have done this with him still being there and he gave us approval to proceed with close-out
All bonding surfaces were sanded and cleaned, then wetted out with Jeffcor resin. Flox and resin mixture was applied to contact areas on lower surface skin, ribs and spars. Upper skins were located in place and everything was held in place during cure using clecos, clamps and shot bags located over contact points.
