Brief Description: Install micro switches on nose and main gear
I worked on getting the micro switches mounted on the nose and main gear positions. Thanks to Don Johnson a builder on VOBA sent me some pictures to help me understand the manual in how to mount the micro switches. We have the same thought about the manual but will not bash this day. I started my day on the wrong foot by not drilling the right size hole for the 4-40 bolts and broke the tap. Bill at Lordco helped me get through the day with lending me a tap. I drilled beside the broken tap and hammered the shit out of the broken tap which broke my punch. The heat in the shop came up a few degrees, but the tig welder came to the rescue by welding up the big hole I had made. Any way the day was successful with 3 micro switches mounted and the front one with wire on it. The switches are to indicate gear down and locked. The other switch will tell that the gear is up and stowed.
