Brief Description: Hang rudders and get hinges in place
It was time to hang the rudders on the winglets. This is the fun stuff putting things together. I cut the hinges to length and set up to dill the holes for mounting. Once this was done then the duct tape came into play holding the rudders in place at the right gap. I then drilled the winglet hinge first at the middle section then the rudder. The cut line was very straight so I just lined up were the hinge will be recessed into the winglet and mounted there. The hinges will be on the inside of the rudder and winglet.
They work great, smooth with no binding.
I got some flat black paint on Cynthia’s granite top base today as well. Things should go together tomorrow if help is around.
