I got the sight gauge area ground and sanded for the 2 bid to go on. I mixed up some micro filled in the sides and applied the 2 bid with peel-ply to finish off. The wires for the night light will be connected in a few years.
I did a 1 bid lay-up on a spot I filled in at the gear leg opening on the fuselage.
I had a friend ask me about the abbreviation of bid.
We will start with the resin I use. It is: E-Z POXY Epoxy Laminating Systems EX 83 Hardener (standard) You can add items to the Epoxy for different application Micro Balloons (hollow glass bubbles) for strong filling applications. Light in weight Milled fiber glass cloth for extremely strong structural applications. Flox (ground fiber glass cloth) for strong joint applications. Bid (Bye directional fiber glass cloth) This is cut at a 45 degree angel for strength and going around corners better. TRIAX The big heavy strong cloth for structural applications. UNI One directional cloth for length wise strength.
I hope this helps my friends on interpretation on my site
