-Centered the vertical stab and leveled it fore and aft per the plans
-Drilled the eleven holes in the F--884 attach plate, spacer, and front spar of the stab
-Final drilled #12 the 4 holes that attach the F-884 plate to the front spar of the horiz stab]
-Un-cleco'd the front spar, spacer, and plate, and scuffed, cleaned, and primed the parts
-Riveted the parts together and bolted the attach plate to the horiz stab
-Attached the elevators, clamped them in trail, and determing the size of spacers needed between the elevator horns and the center bearing.
- Removed the elevators, and re-installed with the appropriate spacers.
-Again, clamped the elevators into a neutral trail position
-Marked the pushrod attach bolt hole in the most rearward horn (to ensure edge distance in the other one).
-Drilled the hole to #30, then to #12
-made a hardwood block that fits snug between the horns and drilled a perpendicular hole though it on the drill press, I then clamped it into place between the horns and used it as a drill guide for the hole in the opposite horn.
-Removed the block and deburred the holes
-Time to install the elevator control system...
