Brief Description: Left Wing #35 - Fitting the Aileron
Using some machinist clamps and other devices (to include a mallet), I managed to slightly "persuade" the outboard aileron bracket arm outboard a little (see previous post). I still have 1 washer on one side of the bearing and 3 on the other, but the inboard hardware is installed without binding and the aileron rotates nice and smooth. I'm happy with it.
With the bellcrank jig installed in the wing, I evenly adjusted the rod ends of the bellcrank to aileron push rod until the aileron was perfectly in trail in accordance with the jig the plans prescribe.
