I used a plastic box to level the boot and an foam tube to create wheel clearance. A relief cut in the aft boot allowed me to position the forward edge of the aft boot far enough forward of the main gear leg to cleco the forward boot to the aft boot. Lots of sneaking up on theis cut. Cut, trial fit, repeat several times.
The second picture shows the inner bracket mount attached. This is a 2 1/2" piece of aluminum to which the inner bracket will be attached.
