I cut a couple 5/16 x 24 bolts and using my drill stand and a file put a point on one end. This will be screwed into the latching rods to show me exactly where to drill the holes in the fuselage. Next the latching rods were cut flush in the "latched" position and tapped to receive the pointed boltes. The rest of the morning I assembled the right door mechanism. I used channel-locks to push the roll pins into place. I found that the chuck from my air drill is a perfect fit to tap the push pin back.
