Brief Description: Door mechanism and pin locator switch
I took the door mechanism apart one last time so that I could properly index the 45° locking pin. To do that I sanded off about .003 from the front push rod and .002 from the rear push rod. Both rods were then tapped again so the connecting bolt would allow the pin end and the rod to meet. After all was reassembled. Reduced the thickness of the Plane Around pin locator to clear the door and using double stick tape and a pin, centered it up and drilled two #12 holes to fasten it. I placed a magnet inside if each door pin before I did the final assembly. When the pin is correctly latched in the fuselage side channel. The magnet inside the pin will close a magnetic switch and turn off a warning light that will be located on the control panel. That will reassure the pilot that that all four pins are properly seated and that the door is secure for flight.
