Brief Description:  Sikaflex day

The sikaflex has been quite the ordeal. First Yachtsupply sent white instead of black..which I discovered AFTER priming. When I called them they told me it would ship that day....but at the end of the week when it didn't show up they told me it was backordered. So I ordered it from Jamestown Distributors and all went as expected...except when it showed up I had the flu. So, two weeks after starting it....between bouts of nausea...I got it done. It takes days to dry and my move to the airport was supposed to be today, so I decided it was important enough to do while not feeling well.

Of course, when you don't feel well....how is the quality of your work? Mine...is so-so. It didn't turn out as well as it should, but did turn out good enough. I can always top coat it with a 'make pretty' coat if it isn't all that I want it to be once its in the sun.

The basement still gets a bit cold at night in Denver's month of April, so the wife and I carried it up to the livingroom after it sat for several hours. :-) Love that woman.

Glad this part is behind me. I could do another one in a third of the time but...hopefully....I'll never do another one again. Scott, when you get to your canopy..... lose my number! :-) I'm kidding man...mostly.

After a few days of curing, I put it back on the plane for safe keeping. I just was never quite certain it wouldn't be bumped off that coffee table.
