Fabricate 2 rudder cable links from 050 x 1/2" steel for forward mounted rudder pedals. The plans call for 2 1/4" center to center, so two of these were made at once to ensure both parts were the same.
Per the forums, I elected to temporarily mount the horizontal stab, vetrical stab, and rudder. This allowed me to fasten the rudder cables to the rudder horn and clamp the rudder in the neutral position.
Using the two rudder links, the rudder cables were connected to the pedals. As discussed on the forums, the rudder pedals were not in the neutral position with neutral rudder. Knowing this, a measurement was taken, and another set of rudder links were fabricated with a shorter center to center distance of 1 29/32".
Using the shorter links on the left rudder pedal and the longer ones on the right, neutral pedal and rudder were achieved at the same time.
