Brief Description: Install Fuel Tank Fittings & Pressure Test

1400 - 1700 Install fuel screen fittings using Permatex Aviation #3 on NPT threads. Install 90 Degree elbow for ER tanks using Permatex Aviation #3 on NPT threads. Temporarily install 1/8" plugs in fuel drain fittings. Cap fuel supply fitting. Cover fuel sender unit to protect from water. Install Schraeder valve adapter. Fabricate manometer from 1/4" ID vinyl tubing. Tape tubing along 1x2 pine board. Add red colored water to tube. Connect tube to tank vent line. Clamp open end vertically. Mark start location of red water. Measure and mark 13 1/2" on vertical tube. Connect bicycle pump to schraeder valve. Pressurize tank to approximately 1 psi, or about 27" differential between manometer levels, Spray soapy water on tank and fittings, check for leaks. NO LEAKS FOUND.
