Turns out I needed a little more height on the aft end of the forward fairing to achieve the desired contour across the top. I had plans to add another layer of carbon to stiffen this fairing a bit anyway, so it worked out well. Tomorrow I'll trim the excess, locate the underside attach holes and start final shaping of all four fairings so I can finish the priming, painting and removal of the wrings.
